You can get the skills you need to get invited to work playoff games, National level tournaments or even college softball The game is ever evolving, and contrary to the popular myth that many guru's in the softball umpiring community continue teach, there are MORE similarities than there are differences with baseball. Participation in umpiring clinics held in house are a great way to get PROFESSIONAL instruction for a very reasonable cost. In today's society you can never have enough insurance coverage. Be it legal liability, medical injury or game replacement insurance. I highly reccommend the purchase of additional insurance & the ABUA's plan is the right fit for any umpire.
